Exquisitely cut, perfectly proportioned, with heavy blown bodies of exceptional clarity, this Circa 1900-1910 Brilliant Period Set is in near mint/mint condition with no damage found. The softly cupped scalloped cut tops accent 2 rows of large bulls-eye thumbprint cut motifs followed by 6 crescent prism cut rows, followed by a base thumbprint row. The bases are deeply cut in a floral star pattern. The handles are double bulls-eye cut in a vertical row, which follows the C scroll of the blown applied handle.
The sugar measures 7.5 inches across, approx. 4.5 inches in diameter and 3.25 inches high. The creamer measures 4 inches high, 5.25 inches across and approx. 3.5-3.75 inches in diameter. This set is of the highest quality of the American Brilliant period, possibly by Libbey. Many of the early pieces were unmarked, but this has the look of Libbey because of the clarity and brilliance Libbey excelled in achieving with their cuts like prisms and thumbprints cuts.
