This stunningly elegant cased hand blown art glass antique brides basket is so intricately blown that it is amazing it is in such amazingly fine condition. As these lovely bride's bowls were not marked, I attribute it by type and style (personal opinion based on my experience) to Mount Washington Glass. It measures 7.5" high with a 5" diameter base.

The gorgeous rich blue against the soft deep white and threading on the glass handle are characteristic. It is in fine condition with no damage found even on the blown tips of the handle branching, dates later 1900's. These lovely art glass hand blown cased baskets are called bride's baskets or bride's bowls as they were a suitable expensive gift to brides in the 19th century. The artistry, superb craftsmanship, and design make this lovely antique a show piece. It came from a lifetime antique dealers collection.
