This late 19th century baby child vase predates the 1950s fad in head vase planters. It is a very small size suitable for a small bouquet or even as a toothpick. The adorable little face is hand painted unglazed bisque porcelain that feels like smooth velvet. These child baby head vases from this period are pretty scarce. This one is accented with a delicate collar accented with a tiny bow. The vase is 3.5" high 2 5/8" by 2" base. It is fine except a small chip around the top lip as pictured.
