Beautiful date marked (19)24 Made in England and Wedgwood, this lovely pitcher type is also known as a jug, a term used in the past. This Wedgwood classic jasperware jug pitcher is in the classical figures pattern with the borders rimmed in relief grapes, vines, and leaves. The raised white against the dark cobalt blue brings out the intricate detail so desired by collectors of Wedgwood jasperware. The pitcher is a milk pitcher measuring 6.25" high with a 4" diameter base. It is in fine condition with one very small flake as pictured in closeup of the thin blue border below the white vines. A truly beautiful old jug pitcher nearing 100 years old.
