This petite and very scarce form is a diminutive covered vanity jar with matching under plate. It is 19th Century Meissen with the blue under glaze crossed swords mark used in Germany by the Meissen factory from 1815 to 1923. The Meissen pattern is polychrome (multi-color) hand painted flowers.
Very fancy with fluted panels and fancy rim, I've only seen this form once. The plate and the vanity jar are both without damage, beautiful, pristine. The plate measures 5 5/8" in diameter, the petite jar measures 2 5/8" to the finial, 2.75 diameter at the widest.
