Elegantly simple, these large sterling silver tablespoons are actually large enough to compare with our serving spoons. They were made by the Sterling Silver Manufacturing Company in Rhode Island. The company operated from 1909 to 1932. These are early with the slightly tipped bowls which look like they were hand finished or cut as each is slightly different. The simple lines end in the graceful tip on the long handles. They all are monogrammed with a lovely H that is more decorative than seen as a letter. They are in fine condition with some polishing tiny marks from good care over time. All have a lovely soft bluing patina that silver only gets with age. Measuring 8" long they weigh 284.5 grams. They came down from a 4 generation prominent family to the last of the line.
