Phi Kappa Sigma was founded at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA in 1850.
This badge features a Maltese cross with a black enamel border. The bottom three arms feature the Greek letters and the top a black six pointed star. Each of the arms has finely detailed chase work. A 3D skull and cross bones resides in the center. The back is engraved "Pat 72406, C. M. Whitmore, A E 1910." Also stamped on the back is an ouroboros snake surrounding the letters MDCCCL.
This badge weighs 2.6 grams. The piece measures 1/2" (12.7mm) long and 1/2" (12.7mm) wide.
