If, as Keats said, "A thing of beauty is a joy forever", you will treasure this vintage watch for a long, long time! Dating from circa 1967, this Swiss-made Longines timepiece features a 14k white gold case adorned with high quality natural diamonds. Eight-sided and embellished with ribbing around the bezel, the case is smoothly polished on the sides and encloses a brushed, ivory-hued face that displays the words Longines and Swiss in black, block lettering. The back of the case has a brushed surface and bears a 14k gold purity stamp and a maker?s mark. The hour designations and hand mechanism are done in gleaming yellow gold to complement the watch?s ivory-colored face. Very slightly offset on either end of the case for visual interest, the two leaf-shaped lugs accommodating the band are adorned with diamonds. The single cut diamonds carry .04 carat total weight, the desired VS1 - VS2 clarity, G - H color, and are ported from the underside for enhanced brilliance and sparkle. The watch?s black cord band fastens with a fold-over clasp that includes a guard chain for extra security. Recently serviced, this lovely watch would make a wonderful treat for yourself or a great gift for a special friend.
This watch weighs 8.8grams. The band measures 3/16" (4.8mm) wide, and the interior of the band measures 7" in closed circumference. The face is 9/16" (14.3mm) wide (not including the crown).
