Hear ye! Hear ye! Ye shalt not miss this opportunity to add a beautiful antique to your royal treasury of jewels! This gorgeous piece comes from the Victorian Era, circa 1880?s-1890?s, when Queen Victoria ruled from Buckingham Palace and the sun never set on the British Empire. Created in 14k yellow gold, the brooch features natural diamonds and natural (not cultured) pearls. The brooch resembles a scroll used by heralds as they rode about the countryside to make proclamations to the assembled villagers and townsmen. Two ornate spindles adorned with ribbing and chain detailings secure the ends of the scroll, which is open to reveal--no, not a royal proclamation--but a gorgeous row of diamonds and pearls. With the larger stone showcased in the center of the array, the three Mine Cut diamonds carry .38 carat weight, .16 carat weight, and .14 carat weight, SI1 - SI2 clarity, and G - H color. Six natural pearls accompany the diamonds to provide an appealing contrast. A circlet of prongs securely hold each of the diamonds and pearls in an illusion-style setting that allows light to flow freely through the gems for enhanced radiance and sparkle. Giving the brooch even more breath-taking beauty, the interior of the scroll has a highly polished finish that gathers light and reflects it back to mirror the gems. The brooch fastens from the back with an easy-to-use bar and hook clasp. This antique piece is in superb condition, and has not been cleaned in order to preserve its rich patina. The 14k gold purity composition has been professionally tested and verified. You will give your favorite blazer or jacket a regal look when you add this one-of-a-kind brooch to your lapel!
