This vintage ring would make a perfect addition to any jewelry collection! The ring is circa the 1910's - 1920's, and features two carved faces fashioned from a piece of natural banded agate. Each layer of the carving is a different color, but is created from a solid piece of stone. The top face is red, and appears to be the bust of a soldier or warrior. The soldier has wonderful detailing with crisp lines that have held up very well over the years. The second face is white, and is seen behind the profile of the warrior. It also appears to be a man but we are unsure whether or not he is a soldier as well. The noses are chipped on both carvings, although this does not distract from the eye-catching beauty of this piece. The black base layer is bezel set in the 10k yellow gold band, and there are some small chips along the perimeter of the stone. An elegant design has been etched on either side of the band, and features a sleeping lion surrounded by ornate detailing which extends across the bridge of the ring. The shank is smooth and tapers down to ensure a comfortable fit, and the inside of the band is stamped with a 10k gold purity mark.
This ring weighs 9.5 grams. The face measures 3/4" (19mm) tall and has a table height of 3/8" (9.5mm).
