This vintage OES ring dates circa 1900s to 1910s and has a gorgeous design! The high quality piece features a genuine onyx gemstone held in an 18k gold bezel setting. The onyx has an octagon shape and a rich, black color. A yellow gold star is set atop the onyx and accented by enameled arms. The acronym FATAL is featured in the center of the star and an OES symbol is displayed on each arm. There is some very slight wear and/or loss to the enamel at the tip of the star's arms. The bezel setting is accented by an engraved wheat pattern around it's perimeter, as well as along the sides of the band. The ring is made of high karat gold which has both yellow and white hues. This is a lovely ring that can be enjoyed for generations to come!
