Fashioned from 10k yellow gold, the front of the brooch features a beautifully-detailed profile of a young woman, possibly a young Queen Victoria, The antique white cameo is presented on a black background and framed in scrolls and flourishes of yellow gold. Behind the central display is a fleur-di-lis adorned with a black enamel tracery design done on a gold background. The brooch is further embellished on both sides with dangling tassels formed from chains of 14k yellow gold. The back of the brooch contains a bar and snap-hook clash that permits the brooch to be placed on a garment. Three extra hooks allow it to be displayed on a ribbon.
