This rare and highly esoteric Royal Arch Masonic piece dates c.1850s-70s and is expertly hand crafted in Sterling Silver. The top triangle features a 9 pointed star cutout in the center of the triangle with the words "Wisdom, Strength, Beauty" hand engraved on the sides. There is a velvet purple ribbon attached with a name bar below that is hand engraved "Mt. Horeb Council." Mount Horeb was founded in 1855 so this is very close to their founding. The medallion below has many triangular symbols on the perimeter and the letters LFU around the sides of a triangle inside of which is a 9 pointed star and altar. The back of this coin displays amazing hand engraved details. There are letters, AVTSRTDCT around the outside with two bow and arrows at the top sides of the triangle and the name "I.K. Gammon." Inside is a figure holding a laurel with an anchor inside and a star above. This mark is done in exquisite detail! This is one of the oldest and most unique Royal Arch pieces I have come across and would make an amazing addition to a lodge display or collection!
This badge measures 5 1/4" tall, 1 7/16" (36.8mm) wide and weighs 27 grams.
We guarantee this piece to be sterling silver as tested. It has not been cleaned in order to maintain it's original vintage integrity. Please check out the enlarged pictures.
