Hall china offered the pattern Autumn Leaf through 1970. This bowl with the lid is a grease jar or drippings bowl. It can also be used as a sugar bowl. It is 4" high and 5-1/2" in diameter. The Jewel Tea Company began in Chicago, later moving to Barrington, Illinois in 1930 and sold household products through salesmen traveling the country from 1901 to 1981. The company supplied housewives with everything from baking powder and other grocery items to cleaning supplies, linens, cookware and china. Autumn Leaf, made by the Hall China Company, has become one of the most popular of the china patterns. The pattern became exclusive to the Jewel Tea Company in 1933. We will feature the Autumn Leaf pattern as well as other Jewel Tea Company items as they become available.
