This offering is for a 1940’s marked “Crown logo Trifari” Brooch. It is also marked “Sterling” and “PAT. PEND.” I was unable to obtain a clear photo of the mark because of its extremely tiny size. This beautifully designed brooch reminds me of the delicacy of Victorian designs—this being a Posey Bouquet tied with a fancy ribbon. The size is 2 1/4” x 1 3/8” and weighs 17 grams. The flowers consist of large emerald cut, prong set faux aquamarine gemstones. Each has a tulip shaped receptacle and is topped with a tiny aquamarine prong set chaton. The stems are decorated with clear sparkling crystal chatons. The fancy ribbon is pave set with tiny sparkling clear crystal chatons. The large aquamarine crystals have open backs. The others have closed backs. All the crystals are original, none are missing, all are sparkling and no restoration has been done. The pin, with its roll over locking clasp, works as it should. This sterling silver has developed a soft patina over the years. Of course a gentle cleaning and polishing will restore its brilliance, but I leave the decision whether to polish or enjoy the patina to the new owner. This beautiful piece is fully guaranteed to meet your expectations, so there is never a problem.
