Set of 60’s Carnaby Street Ladies Wearing Mod Clothing Brooches / Pins “Perhaps nothing illustrates the new swinging London better than narrow, three-block-long Carnaby Street, which is crammed with a cluster of the boutiques selling the latest mod fashions of the day.” This quote identified what Carnaby Street was like in the 60’s. I acquired three Carnaby pins representing the 60’s fashionistas of Carnaby Street ten years ago from a London seller. Sizes range from 3” to 3 1/2”. The weight of three pins is 22 grams. The pins appear to be made of some type of resin that was molded into the figures and then hand painted. The figures have pins with simple C clasps glued to the back of the pins. Two figures have a tiny bit of paint on their backs. I’m cleaning out my entire collection of bakelite and other early plastics, so these ladies need a change of scenery. Overall, their condition is Excellent. This trio will be fun to wear on many clothing items, including hats and purses. The pins are whimsical examples of the retro scene in London and will make a fine addition for a collection. Please contact me if you have any questions. Domestic shipping by First Class Mail with Tracking is $2.60. Additional insurance costs $2.20 and is OPTIONAL. Thank you for looking.
