This offering is for an extremely hard to find (considered “rare” by collectors) Karl Schneider German 5” art deco half doll. The doll is marked with the Schneider impressed mark, “GERMANY” and the number “15524.” She is similar to the Schneider half doll, wearing a black neck ribbon, that is easily found and considered “common.” This lady has short curled hair that is worn with a purple head band. Her facial features are amazing. Her eyes are heavily made up of eye shadow above and below the eyes, eye liner on the upper and lower lids, bright blue painted eyes with large black pupils and orange-red eye corner dots. Her cheeks are beautifully blushed. Her closed mouth has colorful red lips. The lips are a vivid red color and have a heart shaped upper lip, small lower lip and red dots on both sides. The shape of the lips is more typical of French dolls than of German dolls. The details even include a tiny shallow depression (the cricothyroid ligament) at the base of the neck. She holds an arm overhead with its hand that rests on the back of her hair. The free arm has a hand with perfect fingers and a thumb that barely touches her body. The base has a wide oval shape that is 1 5/8” w and 3” long. If you are hoping to add a large art deco beauty to your collection, you need look no further. This lady is fabulous for display and is fully guaranteed to meet your expectations. She will be shipped by FREE Insured USPS Mail. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for looking.
