Here is an unusual padlock (no key) from the UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD, designating in raised block letters "Roadway & Bridge Department". It is an ADLAKE brass lock, the size, shape, and attached chain usually used for Switch Locks. This is an older lock. The front also has in raised block letters"CS-21". Could be the year (1921)??. The backside of the lock, which has the keyhole, has "ADLAKE" stamped into the drop. There is no other lettering.
CONDITION: The heavy lock is 3-1/2" high and has an original chain. NO KEY. The spring on the drop is very strong. There is an overall very dark brown patina on the brass. The lock displays very well.
