This vintage coffee and cream Lisner Lucite rhinestone necklace, bracelet, and earrings set is an outstanding example of mid century thermoplastic jewelry. Set in gold tone, the tawny tones of the thermoplastic leaves have a luminous glow and are accented with darling little enameled flowers with aurora borealis pistils and further enhanced with ab chaton punctuation marks. The colors are superb, a creamy cappuccino and a luscious mocha latte, the yummiest neutrals ever. The design is classic Lisner, the necklace and bracelet have a double row of scooped marquise shaped lucite leaves interspersed with the aforementioned embellishments. The clip earrings are large pinwheels with the same components. This is a wonderful set, each piece is signed Lisner and is in excellent condition. The necklace measures 17 inches by 3/4 inches, the bracelet measures 7 inches by 3/4 inches, and the earrings measure 1 1/2 inches. Note: According to Collector's Weekly, and I quote, For nearly 30 years after its 1904 founding, Lisner imported and sold Elsa Schiaparelli's Parisian jewelry in the United States. In the '30s, the company achieved a higher profile by finally selling its own designs that employed Dupont's new colored acrylic plastic called Lucite, as well as clear and colored rhinestones particularly aurora borealis. end quote. This is a fab set of vintage jewelry, you will love it's versatility, it's perfect anytime of the year and any time, day or night.
