This vintage Chanel Novelty brooch with pink moonstones, diamante rhinestones and enamel accents was made in 1941 and it is a luscious blooming floral beauty. The open backed raspberry pink moonstones are luminous and each blossom has a center disc of rhinestone chatons and the three flowers and five buds are anchored to enamel stems enhanced with pave diamantes. This is a stately piece measuring 3 1/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches and is in wonderful vintage condition with age appropriate wear to the enamel and a few of the rhinestones. The moonstones and most of the rhinestones look fabulous. This pin is signed Chanel in script and the pewter tone pot metal on the back looks fine, especially for a piece that is 77 years old. Chanel Novelty pieces were only made in 1941 and are quite rare, Coco Chanel sued the company for using the name and the company name was changed to Reinad. This is a charming floral brooch that is all original; it will look delightful worn and be an endearing addition to any jewelry collection.
