This vintage 1970s dress in a georgette print with a feathery art deco design in turquoise and black on a dove grey background is both sweet and sophisticated. The style is ultra flattering, it has cap sleeves, an elastic waist, buttoned placket, hidden side pockets and midi length with ruffles trimming the sleeves, placket and hem and it is fully lined in grey georgette. The brand label is gone but the fabric label states rayon georgette, the ILGWU indicates post 1973. The care label has Dry Clean Only but I hand washed and line dried the dress before listing it and it came out great. The style of the dress makes it suitable for a range of sizes, for reference, my mannequin measures 34, 24, 34, and she is 5 feet 8 inches tall. The chest, measured flat and doubles is 38 inches, the waist is 24 inches and stretches to 34 inches, the hips are open, and the length, from center back to hem, is 60 inches. The dress is in wonderful vintage condition, clean and ready to wear. There are a couple of tiny holes in the lining only and the belt is gone, I used a piece of black ribbon for the photos but you can use a black belt or whatever your imagination dictates. I wore this dress many times when I lived and worked in NYC, it's been packed away since the late 1979 when my latent love for horses surfaced and I traded in my high heels for riding boots. This is an easy to wear dress that goes from work to cocktails without pause.
