This vintage Trifari rhinestone brooch and earrings set with topaz and ultra rare Madeira rhinestones in gold Trifanium plating is a slice of heaven. The design is exceptional, a gorgeous flower with five unfurling petals of imposing size encrusted with rhinestones. The colors are outstanding, oval Madeira rhinestones with the deep, rich coppery tones of aged bourbon blanket the petals. Light Colorado Topaz rhinestones, resplendent with the color and sparkle of champagne, are the pave accents outlining the petals and covering the stem and pistil. The settings are plated in a rich burnished gold, the perfect foil for this color combination. It is simply divine. This is one of those times when I just can't say enough, so I won't even try. Let's do details and move on to the picture show. Each piece is signed Trifari and is in marvelous vintage condition with no issues at all. The brooch measures 2 1/2 inches x 2 inches and the clip earrings measure 1 inch. The necklace and earrings from this line are featured on page 215 of Deanna Farnetti Cera's Amazing Gems An Illustrated Guide to the World's Most Dazzling Costume Jewelry and she says it is probably one of Alfred Phillipe's designs. This breathtaking set is incomparable, it is a masterpiece, a triumphant effort and a fitting legacy from the most iconic costume jewelry companies of the twentieth century.
