This vintage Hobe sterling silver vermeil rhinestone floral pin is a splendid example of the superlative design acumen and meticulous craftsmanship that made Hobe one of the masters of costume jewelry. Its such a pretty pin, a huge, romantic bouquet of flowers with sterling bead accents tied up in ribbon. The gold washed sterling has a warm, burnished patina and the rhinestone chatons in blue, yellow, rose and lavender sparkle. Patented in 1942, Patent 132,328, the brooch suggests the veracity of Hobe's "Jewels of Legendary Splendor" slogan. This is a mammoth statement piece in wonderful vintage condition with some age appropriate wear to the gold plating, especially on the back, and an ever so slight bend in the pin. The back is signed Hobe 1/20 14K and Design Pend and the brooch measures 3.5inches by 2 inches with a full .50 inch profile. This spectacular vintage Hobe sterling silver brooch is a stunning piece of jewelry history, perfect for collection or wear.
