This vintage Yves St. Laurent pant suit in black and ivory silk and wool houndstooth check is classy and classic and oozes style. Made in Paris, France, the style, fabric, and details give testament to the panache and vision of YSL, a true fashion icon and one of the greatest designers in history. The single breasted, 3 button jacket is perfectly tailored, fully lined and fits like a dream. The two pockets are still stitched close, I never used them. The unlined pants have front pleats and straight legs and are most flattering. The fabric has a gorgeous hand, it is 55 / 45 fine wool and silk and drapes beautifully. The suit is in immaculate vintage condition and a French size 36, which is about a 2 or 4 in contemporary US sizing, but please go by the measurements below. It is best to compare these measurements with comparable items in your wardrobe that fit comfortably. This is a fabulous suit, as timeless as Lauren Bacall, wearing a houndstooth check suit when Bogey fell in love with her in To Have and Have not, a coincidence, I think not.
