This antique Adams pink to red transferware plate in their English Scenic pattern features a bucolic countryside with cows and a courting couple with cottages in the background. The scalloped, gadroon border is a lush display of blooming roses and posies with thistle and foliage accents. The colors are rich and vibrant, ranging from maroon to a deep dusty pink that really pop on the white background. The Adams back stamp dates the plate from 1891 to the early 1900s and it measures 9 inches in diameter and is 1.125 inches deep. This plate is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or scratches, just a bit of crazing that does not distract at all. This pretty plate is a perky accent piece, for display or tabletop use.
