This vintage Bill Schiffer resin ribbon bangle bracelet, handmade and painted in metallic shades of silver grey, champagne gold, platinum and black is dated 1986 and is a modern classic. The undulating resin ribbon design is dynamic and sculptural, each piece of Schiffer jewelry is a unique work of art. This is a bold bangle, it is 2 3/4 inches in height at front center and the opening is 3 inches across the widest point and it wears beautifully. This piece is in great vintage condition, the pictures show every part, and is signed and dated by Bill Schiffer. He championed the Art-to-Wear movement centered in Soho, NYC in the 70s and both his wearable art, and his paintings and sculptures are highly collectible. Schiffer's work has been shown in galleries and museums worldwide and his jewelry has been featured in Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Women's Wear Daily, Seventeen and Cosmopolitan. I've included a picture from New York Magazine that features two of his bracelets. If you are into the unusual and treasure the unique you will love this bracelet.
