This vintage Les Bernard necklace with dragons, a faux jade lotus flower pendant and chain dangles is sensational. The focus of this Asian inspired vintage 1970s Les Bernard necklace is the intricate, gold plated scrolled medallion with dangling chains, bordered by four dragons guarding raised, rope edged lotus flowers molded to mimic Peking Glass that is suspended by a double strand of fancy links and faux jade beads. The design is complex and the attention to detail is comprehensive, the chain alone is a work of art. Note the end caps, they are solid, fancy findings that cradle the beads and alternate with sections of framed golden scrolls set horizontally and vertically ending in a barrel clasp. This necklace is impressive in weight as well as looks, it is almost five ounces on my postal scale. The necklace measures 22 inches, the medallion measures 3 1/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches and the chain dangles add 2 inches. This necklace is in excellent vintage condition, it looks and wears beautifully and is signed Les Bernard Inc on a cartouche. This piece is a perfect accessory to add fun and flair to your jewelry wardrobe, year round, round the clock.
