This vintage Coro expansion bracelet and earring set has large sapphire blue rhinestones and faux seed pearls that really pop against the gold plating. The bracelet is one half inch wide and slightly domed and has a huge 12.4 mm by 9.8 mm emerald cut sapphire rhinestone surrounded by faux seed pearls and bordered by golden leaves with chaton centers as the centerpiece. The earrings have 10 mm by 11.7 mm oval sapphire rhinestones bordered by faux seed pearls with one golden leaf with a chaton center. The bracelet is signed Coro with the Pegasus, it looks more like a splotch in the last picture, and will expand to fit a 7 inch wrist easily. There is some plate wear, mostly confined to the inside of the expansion band as seen in the photos. The screw back earrings are signed Coro and are in excellent vintage condition. The rhinestones are fabulous, the color is gorgeous and they look great. The white faux pearls are wonderful, there is no finish loss at all. A similar Coro set is featured on page 32 of Collecting Costume Jewelry 101 by Julia C. Carroll. This is a sweet set of mid century Coro that is wearable and collectible at an attractive price point.
