The sensuous curves of the design highlights the radiance of the small, medium and large smoke chatons and the brilliance of the silvery rhodium settings. The bracelet measures a whopping 7.25 inches by 1 .25 inches and has a fold over clasp and a safety chain and the earrings measure 1.50 inches by 1 inch.are clip style. I actively collected Rousseau jewelry for a long time and this set is one of the most beautiful and the most striking in my collection and I have never seen a duplicate of this set. If you seek the unique, and love the impactful, this is for you.
Very little is known about this vintage 1950's-1960's costume jewelry company except that they produced top quality jewelry that is very desirable and highly collectible. Often mistakenly branded as a French company, Rousseau was in fact based in New York City and had a showroom on Fifth Avenue and a manufacturing facility in Brooklyn,NY. I have been collecting and actively seeking out Rousseau jewelry for the past 35 years and have managed to acquire only seven sets and two are duplicates.
