This early Miriam Haskell dress clip with rose montee diamante rhinestone balls and Russian gold tone leaves is a Frank Hess design and it is splendid. Two highly detailed leaves and three dangling diamante disco balls on foxtail chains comprise this fashionable, fun, 1930s dress clip. Miriam Haskell jewelry was unsigned until the mid forties but this clip has the typical Haskell construction and is referenced in Miriam Haskell Jewelry by Gordon and Pamiloff, page 153. This exact piece can be seen in the Haskell information section of Morning Glory Jewelry where it is shown with a matching bracelet. The last four pictures have been lightened to show detail, the color is a rich, antique gold, Haskell called Russian gold. I like to use clips as pendants and have shown this one on a simple chain for illustration, it is not included. The clip measures 3 inches by 1.5 inches and is in great condition for a 70 year old.
