This Antique Victorian lidded chamber pot by Fielding and Co. was made in England and is decorated in a wonderful pastel palette of pink, green and ivory with gilt accents. Of all the Victorian styles, Queen Anne Style is the most romantic and feminine and the use of pastels was most prolific during this 1880 to 1910 period. This is a very fancy potty with a fluted shape, ombre like color effects, embossing, beading and golden scrolls and highlights. It's just beautiful and it's in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, flea bites or other damage. There is some very slight crazing and a glaze slip on the interior of the pot, incredible considering this is more than 100 years old, the mark it bears predates WW1. This is part of a Victorian Wash Set I've had for decades and it's always been displayed somewhere in my house. This piece currently lives in the living room while the rest of the set lives in the kitchen. The rest of the set, unfortunately, is not in as exceptional condition the chamber pot. This piece bears the early S. Fielding & Co. mark and has impressed marks and the mark of the person that decorated the piece. This wonderful accessory measures 10 inches in diameter not including the handle, and is 9 inches in height and can be used in all kinds of novel ways, I have one on a chest near near the front door. I filled it with Halloween candy one year and ever since it's held hard candy, my keys and extra reading glasses.
