Oh so cute German Baps doll from the late 1940s. Saucy little Jill, from the nursery rhyme “Jack and Jill”, stands approximately 4-1/2 inches tall. She is made of felt and cloth over a wire armature and is able to stand alone on her weighted metal feet. She has blond floss hair adorned with two tiny felt flowers and hand-painted features. She is in very good condition, clean and bright with no holes or tears. Please note, one tiny red “sock” is missing (see photos). No other flaws noted.
Jill was designed by Edith Von Arps and was produced in Germany in the mid 1940s. Beautifully made and full of charm, ready to join your collection. Her partner Jack is also available in my shop.
