Will you take me home? That’s what this vintage 1940s baby seems to be saying with her big brown eyes. This darling chubby baby is approximately 19-inches long. She has a loosely strung composition body in very good condition, with dimpled elbows, knees, fingers and toes (please note, one toe is chipped, as shown in the accompanying photo). Her knees are blushed and she has molded finger and toe nails. Her all original face paint is very good, with blushed cheeks, rosy lips and thin arched eyebrows over smoothly working brown sleep eyes with long, full upper lashes. Please note that her left eye is shattered in the center (highlighted in the close up photo). She has an open mouth with red felt tongue and two little white teeth. Her dark brown molded painted hair has good, deep color, with expected minor wear at the back of the head (see photo). Overall, her composition finish is in very good condition with good, even coloring, no cracks or lifting, just a few light scuffs. Baby is unmarked, of good quality.
Happy baby wears a vintage white dress with attached panties, trimmed with narrow lace. It closes at the back with two safety pins. Dress is clean and bright white. There is one small hole in attached panties, invisible beneath the dress. No other rips, holes or damage. Dress is untagged but looks factory made.
