Vintage World War II era Junior Miss Dress Printed Sewing Pattern, McCall 4064, 14 pieces complete with instructions in the original envelope. Size 15, Bust 33 inches.
This one-piece dress gives the illusion of a two-piece jacket and skirt, reflecting the rationing of fabric during WWII. Smart fitted bodice is slightly shirred at the sides and has a longer bodice with curved seams to flatter the figure. Flared skirt drapes to just below the knees, another nod to wartime shortages. May be made in a single fabric or with contrast top and bottom, with padded short, three-quarter, or long sleeves, with or without ruffles at hip and sleeve edge, with front zipper closure and no collar, or with button front closure and folded collar.
All original printed pattern, neatly cut and complete, with instruction sheet in the original envelope dated 1941. Pattern envelope has some wear from storage, as shown. Pattern pieces have been hand-sorted, ironed and neatly refolded.
