This stylish Misses Dress pattern is from the Advance American Designer Collection, from the New York Time Designer Series Patterns of the Times. Advance pattern 8944, vintage 1950s, Size 16, is complete, factory cut and neatly refolded, with instructions in the original envelope. The pattern pieces have some wrinkling from storage.
Flattering summer dress, an original design by Elizabeth Hilt, Designer for Henry Rosenfeld, has a cross-over surplice bodice with a deep V-neck, fitted waist with self-fabric or contrast belt, gathered skirt with side seam pockets, and asymmetrical button closure. Dress is sleeveless and may be made with a deep shawl collar, if desired.
