Wacs and Waves Cut Out Dolls, all original vintage 1943, complete, uncut pages in the original folder, all in good condition. This is an original vintage set of paper dolls, from Whitman Publishing, copyright 1943, product #985. Includes 8 glamorous paper dolls (dolls have been punched out) and 5 uncut pages of fashions, plus a brief printed story of the Wacs and Waves, in the original covers. Both front and back covers feature bright graphics with cut out stars framing each paper doll’s face.
Condition is good, bright and clean overall. As previously stated, the dolls have been punched out but the original frame pages are intact and included. One doll is missing ½ of one foot. The rest are clean and undamaged. The covers have edge wear, as shown, with the back cover missing one corner, and having several small tears. The uncut interior pages have some age darkening and yellowing around the edges. This does not extend into the colorful printed fashions or the dolls. The top corner of the “Wacs and Waves” insert card is bent. Inside front cover has vintage pencil drawings of Wacs and Waves; inside back cover has small blue crayon drawing of fireworks. No trace of these are visible on the exteriors.
