Military Wedding Paper Dolls, all original vintage 1943, complete, uncut and in very good condition. This original vintage set of paper dolls came from The Saalfield Publishing Co., Akron, Ohio, copyright 1943, product #314. Includes 10 uncut paper dolls (5 each on the front and back covers) and 5 uncut pages of military uniforms, wedding outfits and honeymoon fashions. Dolls measure between 7 and 8-1/2 inches tall and represent the bride and groom, best man and maid of honor, 3 bridesmaids, the mother of the bride and the military chaplain. Both front and back covers feature bright graphics with vivid colors.
Condition is very good, bright, clean and undamaged. The spine shows some rubs and the covers have only very light edge wear. There is one small area of paper loss on the front cover (see detail photo). The uncut interior pages have light age tanning around the edges. This does not extend into the colorful printed fashions or the dolls.
This is a wonderful set of vintage paper dolls from World War II, depicting women both in the military and as war brides. It is so rare to find this uncut and in such good condition.
