Gorgeous high color Brunette Sweet Sue Walker Bride Doll made by the American Character Doll Company in the mid-1950s. This big, beautiful 23-inch doll is made of hard plastic with vinyl arms and wig cap, and is jointed at the shoulders, elbows and hips. Her beautiful face has vibrant color with bright blue sleep eyes, full lashes, vivid cheek blush, and full painted lips. Her deep brunette rooted saran hair is soft and shiny, still in the original set. Her walker mechanism is strong and works smoothly. She is all-original; with her original hangtag, and looks like she has seldom been out of the box. Every detail is intact, from her satin center snap shoes to the rhinestone accents on her veil. No holes, dirt, stains, discoloration, odors, or signs of wear. Just the expected light wrinkles and creases due to lying in the box.
The box itself is in fair condition, separating at the seams, with some tears, scratches, small areas of paper loss, and fading, most noticeable on the label. Despite its flaws, it is always a plus to have the original box with your doll, and this one has protected her well over the years. Also included is the pictured Sweet Sue Doll original print ad, dated 1952.
This doll is absolutely stunning, clean, bright and crisp. She will add “wow” factor to your doll collection and/or display.
