This is an exquisite example of fine jewelry from the Art Nouveau Period. It is a magnificent Circa 1890 brooch that can also be worn as a pendant. It acid tests 10K yellow gold and sterling silver. In the center is a magnificent portrait of a woman with blue eyes and a large rose colored ribbon gown. It is artist signed and hard to distinguish but appears to be Vaultur. The silver and gold frame to this piece is ornately embellished with accent rubies. The back is gold with an ornate leaf engraving. This piece measures from the bale to the bottom at 2 1/2 inches and 1 1/2 inches across the widest part of the design. This lovely brooch / pendant is accompanied with a stamped 10K 19 1/2 inch chain. This is a beautiful and quality example of fine craftsmanship from an elegant bygone era.
