This is a beautiful example of Edwardian Period jewelry. It is Circa 1900 and acid tests platinum. The brooch is set with 53 old European cut quality diamonds which are G to H in color with excellent clarity. The diamond weight is 1.54 carat total. The brooch measures 1 3/4 inches in length by 5/8 inch and is in excellent original condition. This exceptional example of Edwardian jewelry is accompanied with a replacement GIA appraisal of $7,725.00. This is a very fine example from an elegant bygone era.
