Rarely do you have an opportunity to find a fantastic piece of this quality. This is an antique Circa 1900 Art Nouveau Coral necklace of the very highest quality. It is comprised of seven exquisite hand carved coral cameos in high relief. The detail of each cameo is extraordinary. Each cameo is set in 9K rose gold and silver with ribbons of diamond accents in the design. The five foremost cameos have rose and leaf coral sections that hang down. The upper two most cameos, one on each side are not designed with the same detail so it can be worn comfortably. There are coral leaves and sections of coral around the back side along with two ornate silver connectors which compliment the entire piece. The longest cameo at the bottom with the drop measures 3 3/4" long graduating to 2 1/2" and 1 3/4" with the shortest ones being 1" in length. Each cameo is framed in a beautiful gold and silver intricate scroll work with many prong set accent diamonds. There are so many accent diamonds in the design that we cannot give you a carat weight. The back of the necklace is almost as beautiful as the front with each cameo having a silver design on the backside. We believe this piece to be Italian in origin and measures slightly over 17" long. This is an absolutely outstanding one-of-a-kind piece in excellent original condition that harkens back to an elegant bygone era where quality and pride were foremost.
