It is a hand enameled acid tested 18K brooch Circa 1880 and depicts a lovely French lady of the Court with an amazing detailed outfit and holding a riding quip in a garden setting. This beautiful porcelain is outlined with pearls which is also surrounded by an intricate cobalt blue and white enameled design. It measures 2 1/2 inches long and 1 1/4 inches at the widest point of the brooch. The detail and artistry of this piece is unsurpassed for the period. It is in excellent original condition. Finding a brooch of this age and quality is rare. This is truly a piece of art as well as a wise investment.
