This is an amazing vase from the Art Nouveau Era. It is Circa 1900 with a beautiful hand painted portrait of a lovely young lady with a garland of flowers and pearls in her hair. She is wearing an elegant low cut gown and displaying a lovely delicate necklace. It is artist signed M. Donath from Vienna, Austria. The most unique feature of this vase is the coralene design. It is in a muted blue green color with a deep accent amethyst color at the rim and base and encompasses the entire vase. Further enhancing the design is the delicate gold leaf framing the portrait as well as the floral design on the base in the front and back of the vase. This little gem measures 5 3/4" tall and 3" across the widest part of the vase. This striking example of an elegant bygone era would make a statement anywhere in your home. Pieces of this quality from the Art Nouveau Era are increasingly hard to acquire and are a sound financial investment.
