This is an absolutely beautiful pair of enameled vases from the Victorian Era. They are Circa 1880 and hand painted in a floral motif with soft pastel colors. Each vase is a golden amber color with an interior thumb print design that is quite unique. The body of the vase is wide and gently curves inward at the neck culminating with a ruffled top. On each vase there is a beautifully applied band of ice blue swirls that really accent the entire design. The enameled flowers and leaves also have stems with detailed thorns creating a very realistic impression. They each measure 11 1/4" tall and are 5" across the widest part of each vase with one being in mint condition and the other with a very slight section of the very end of the applied blue decoration missing on the back side of the vase, please refer to photos, and is only visible upon very close inspection. I consider this normal wear for a vase of this age and only mentioned for accuracy. Each vase has a polished pontil. One vase has the number 10 on the pontil and the other the number 14. This is really a very beautiful pair of vases from an elegant bygone era.
