This is a very attractive sterling silver overlay vase by Rockwell. Rockwell bought blanks from several companies and this vase we believe is Circa 1920's by Tiffin and the silver overlay decoration was done by Rockwell. It is an emerald green satin glass vase with a very attractive silver overlay of a parrot with wings out spread ready to take flight. Around the parrot is an intricate branch and floral decor. The silver is raised from the vase to the touch in a heavy overlay. The vase measures 8 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches at the widest part of the vase with a 3 1/4 inch opening. The vase is in excellent original condition and a fine example of the exemplary workmanship from the Rockwell Company during the Art Deco Period. A lovely example of an elegant bygone era.
