This is a rare example of Loetz Austrian art glass from the Jugendstil Period. It is Circa 1900, museum quality and a rare large size in the Diaspora pattern. It stands 16 inches tall and weighs 4 pounds. This has a beautiful green iridescence with a polished rim with a violet hue. It measures 6 inches in diameter across the base with a polished pontil. The design of this vase is amazing with an internal bubble design that ranges from larger at the base to smaller at the top with four corners that are in a scalloped design. This is a quality monumental example of Austrian Loetz art glass and is in mint original condition. Loetz was competing with Tiffany during this period and this vase is a testament to the excellent glass works produced by master craftsman during that elegant bygone era.
