This is a very beautiful pair of quality vintage porcelain French dresser boxes. They are identical and each has a beautiful decorated hinged cover depicting a pair of young lovers in a garden setting. He is adjusting flowers in her hair. The center and back of each box is decorated with an exquisite floral motif. The metal brass trim is very ornate with raised garlands of flowers. The interior of each box is white porcelain. The inside of each hinged cover is brass with the porcelain top integrated into the brass cover. They measure 7 inches at the widest part of the base and 4 3/4 inches deep by 3 1/2 inches tall. Both are in excellent original condition. They are quite heavy weighing three pounds each. It is quite unusual to find a pair of quality dresser boxes in excellent original condition. These are a fine example of an elegant bygone era.
