This vase is Circa 1890 and was produced by the Kralik Glass Works in Austria. This is a large example with an unusual shape and design. It comes out slender from the base and flares out with four sides being pinched inward with two elongated and the opposite pinched sides shorter. The neck flares outward and is crimped along the top opening with a fire polished rim. The bottom has a polished pontil. The base field color is an iridescent cranberry with a raised threaded design. The vase measures 14 inches tall and 5 inches at the widest part of the vase. The unique design is wider in the front and back being more narrow on the sides. This is an unusual and unique example of the fine quality produced during this elegant bygone era and is in mint original condition.
