This is a beautiful Circa 1880 Victorian pickle castor. The footed silver-plate frame has an ornate top handle with a floral and leaf decor design. The tongs are original and also have a flower motif on each side. The cover finial is a lovely bird with wings spread ready to take flight. It has the original inverted thumbprint cranberry glass insert. It measures 11 inches tall and 5 inches across the widest part of the handle. This lovely example of the Victorian Era is in perfect condition showing no wear to the silver and is a fine example of an elegant bygone era.
