This is a very lovely example of early Teplitz. It is a beautiful figurine of an enchanting young lady. She's leaning against a tree stump covered with moss and cascading flowers and has one finger against her chin with a whimsical expression as if lost in thought over a suitor. She has a large bowed hat with curly hair and a clinging blouse . Her hat, inside jacket, and bows throughout are accented in a deep green enamel including bows on her shoes. The figurine is 18 1/2" tall and 6 1/4" across the widest section of the tree base. This is fully signed on the base, Depose Wien Teplitz Austria with JCR, and incised 4032, please refer to photos. This figurine is in excellent condition showing only very minor wear to a few petals and pieces of this quality are fine examples of an elegant bygone era.
